The classic triple room with 2 windows and antique furniture, as for instance. Magnificent location right by the train depot. Based next to the Diamond Belle Saloon, Durango, the centre of town.

    Beds were old.

The Strater Hotel showcases the charm of a historic building. Its old-world ambiance, even if the room was on the smaller side. The service was attentive, though the furniture could use a bit more comfort. A good place with good food and character!

    Discovering hidden treasures in history

Staying at the Strater Hotel seemed like stepping back in time. The staff graciously guided us to secret doors and shared fascinating history with us.

The room temperature control was disappointing. Despite the charming hotel atmosphere, we struggled with the heat and couldn't get proper cooling.
